Service Fees

Makers adds a 13% 'Service Fee' on all retail sales transactions. Makers retains the Service Fee to cover additional expenses that accumulate as your sales grow - tissue paper, shopping bags, gift wrapping, as well as credit card transaction fees and payout transaction fees.

The Service Fee allows Makers to continue giving members 100% of their sales without taking a commission, a percentage of sales.

THE CUSTOMER PAYS THE 13%  

Sale Example: Product Base Price $10.00 + 13% Processing Fee = $11.30 You receive the $10.00 Base Price and the customer pays the total amount of $11.30

Product prices in store are listed as tax-inclusive, with 80+ makers in each location, some makers are below the GST threshold and don't charge tax, and some do, and those who do have the taxes built into the price.  When you make a purchase from Makers, you are purchasing directly from that maker!
