New vendors will receive Stripe set up instructions during the onboarding process. If you have not received a sign up link by your first payout date, please email [email protected] with the email subject 'Requesting Stripe Link'. Thank you!
You can log in to your Stripe account at https://express.stripe.com/ Your user name is your email and you created a password during the set up process.
To update the bank account where your earnings are deposited, follow these steps:
- Once logged in, click on the menu icon at the top right (depicted as a person) and select 'Shop Makers'.
- Under 'Payout Details', locate the account already linked and click the edit pencil icon.
- Update the fields with the new banking information, including Transit #, institution #, and bank account #.
- Caution: Avoid clicking the delete button as it may result in your account being locked. Ensure to click the edit button instead.
You can view detailed payout reports through your Stripe dashboard. Here’s how:
- Click on the "Payouts" tab.
- Review your transaction details, including dates, amounts, and any applicable fees.
You’ll also receive a payout summary email on the day your funds are transferred.
If you're experiencing issues with funds not transferring, it may be due to having a debit or visa card linked instead of a bank account. Makers can only transfer funds directly to your bank account. To resolve this issue, please add your banking details (Transit #, institution #, and bank account #) and remove any linked credit cards.
You can only have one bank account linked to your Stripe profile. If you have more than one account in Stripe, log into your account, head to payout details and remove the second bank account.
Ensure that the email address associated with your Stripe Connect account is verified and active. Sometimes, email verification is required to activate certain features or to complete account setup.
Review your Stripe Connect account dashboard to check if there are any outstanding requirements or notifications that need attention. Sometimes, incomplete information or verification can hinder the setup process. Stripe will email you directly if they require more verificaiton information.
If your account requires identity verification, ensure that you have submitted all necessary documents and information accurately. Check the status of your verification process and follow up if there are any delays or issues. Stripe will email you directly if they require additional verificaiton information.
- Restart your browser - Google Chrome is recommended
- Clear your browser cache
- Use a different browser
- Use a computer and not a mobile device to upload documents to Stripe
- If the issue persists, contact Stripe support.
I received an email from Stripe asking for additional information. Do I need to do anything? Yes. Stripe periodically verifies accounts to ensure your information is accurate and up to date. Please log into your Stripe account and provide any missing or updated details as requested.
I don’t have a website. What should I provide? If you don't have a website, you can use your social media handle or the Makers website as an alternative.
I don’t have a customer service phone number. What should I do? You can enter a placeholder number like 000-000-0000 if you don’t have a dedicated customer service phone number.
I already have a Stripe account. Do I need to create a new one for Makers? No, you don’t need to create a new Stripe account. However, you will need to log in to your existing account using the link we provide during registration. From there, simply add your payout details under the Shop Makers profile.
